Sculpture in a Landscape 1969 – 2020, Wiltshire
Organised by The Friends of the Garden, this exhibition takes place at West Leaze, Wiltshire, the same property used for showing work by 18 contemporary sculptors in 1969, which included William Pye.
The Secret Garden, solo show, Brighton, 2019
As part of the Brighton Festival in May and June 2019, a collection of fourteen of Pye’s water sculptures between 1994 and 2010 and Charioteer, a bronze sculpture from 1964, were shown in the Secret Garden in Kemptown, Brighton.
William Pye in Film, London 2018
This exhibition brings together, for the first time, a selection of solo film work as well as collaborations with fellow film makers Ian Helliwell and Sasha Snow.
Ark, Chester Cathedral, 2017
Following the theft in 2015 of Coraslot from the Watts Gallery in Surrey, this piece was remade by the Pangolin Foundry and is now on show in Chester Cathedral as part of a major exhibition called ARK.
Making Bronzes, Woking, Surrey 2017
From 28th February to 12th March 2017, Making Bronzes: A Modern Day Art Foundry at Work showcases the art and craft of bronze casting. William Pye’s ‘Red Desert’ is one of a selection of figurative and abstract sculptures by various artists.
City Sculpture Projects 1972 revisited
The maquette of William Pye’s sculpture ‘Mirage’, on loan from the National Museum of Wales, was exhibited at the Henry Moore Institute in Leeds.
Aspects of Abstraction 1952-2002, London 2016
Two small polished works from the 1960s were included in this Piano Nobile exhibition, Uddeholm (1969) and Two Cylinders (1967).
Crucible 2, Gloucester Cathedral, 1st Sept. to 31st Oct. 2014
Vesqua was among 70 contemporary sculptures installed in the Cathedral for two months. Vesqua remained there until Easter 2015 when it was used as a font to baptise several people.

William Pye was one of three exhibitors at the Royal British Society of Sculptors in Old Brompton Road, London, to present a project in its various stages in the form of drawings, maquettes, photos, videos and publications.
‘Agua no Rio’, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 2011/12
Three of the pieces which were exhibited in Sao Paulo in 2010/11 were shipped to Rio de Janeiro for a smaller exhibition: Aureola, Scylla and Coanda.
‘Agua na Oca’, Sao Paulo, Brazil 2010/11
In November 2010 five water sculptures were shipped to Sao Paulo for a major exhibition on the theme of water. The exhibition was held in the Oca building designed by Oscar Niemeyer in the 1950s.
Pangolin Gallery, King’s Place London 2010
To coincide with the launch of the new hardback book, this was a major solo exhibition at two of London’s prestigious galleries: at Osborne Samuel a series of previously unseen bronzes and some of the smaller water pieces.
